Service Description
PHTLS Provider is an initial certification course. This is a classroom-based, instructor-led format. NAEMT's Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) is recognized around the world as the leading continuing education program for prehospital emergency trauma care. The mission of PHTLS is to promote excellence in trauma patient management by all providers involved in the delivery of prehospital care. PHTLS is developed by NAEMT in cooperation with the American College of Surgeons' Committee on Trauma. The Committee provides the medical direction and content oversight for the PHTLS program. This two-day course combines lecture with skill scenario stations to allow students the opportunity to apply the material they learn from lecture. The course is accredited by CAPCE for 16 hours of continuing education. Class Length: 2 Days, 8am - 5pm (16 hours) Certification: 4 years Although not required, it is highly recommended that you purchase the textbook to prepare for the course.
